After patenting and engineering our products, we decided to develop a real internal tooling. The challenge was to meet not only the internal maintenance needs, but also the urgent demand of the Automotive sector for customized production.

In order to be able to respond to new requests in an increasingly careful and advanced way, we have first of all created a new business unit, equipped with machining centres, wire erosion and plunge. At the same time, it was necessary to invest in the creation of a Technical Office capable of following, side by side with the customer, the entire production process. From the development of the entire component to the final result of the protection, in synergy with the customer’s R&D and UT departments.

Dopo aver brevettato ed ingegnerizzato i nostri prodotti, abbiamo deciso di sviluppare una vera e propria attrezzeria interna. La sfida era soddisfare non soltanto le necessità di manutenzione interna, ma anche l’impellente domanda del settore Automotive di una produzione customizzata.

Per riuscire a rispondere alle nuove richieste in modo sempre più attento e avanzato abbiamo anzitutto creato un nuovo ramo d’azienda, provvisto di centri di lavoro, erosioni a filo e tuffo. Parallelamente è stato necessario investire nella creazione di un Ufficio Tecnico in grado di seguire, fianco a fianco al cliente, l’intero processo produttivo. Dallo sviluppo di tutto il componente fino al risultato finale della protezione, in sinergia con gli enti R&D e UT del cliente stesso.

This has allowed us to become a reference player for the automotive sector in the field of protections and at the same time to develop custom projects together with customers. In fact, we are often presented with the need for a product that does not belong to the standard range of DLM. In these cases, it is therefore essential to start from an idea and a design designed specifically for that specific protection. After sharing the 2D design, we move on to the creation of the 3D sample, and then complete the process with the production of a series mold.

Questo ci ha permesso di diventare un player di riferimento per il settore automobilistico nell’ambito delle protezioni e allo stesso tempo di sviluppare progetti custom insieme ai clienti. Spesso, infatti, ci viene presentata l’esigenza di un prodotto che non appartiene alla gamma standard di DLM. In questi casi è quindi indispensabile partire da un’idea e da un disegno studiato ad hoc per quella specifica protezione. Dopo aver condiviso il progetto 2D, si passa alla realizzazione del campione 3D, per poi ultimare il processo con la produzione di uno stampo di serie.
